wrenchverse
ABOUT

Built because "trust me, it's fine" isn't a service record.

WrenchVerse started from a simple frustration: a car's history mostly lives in someone's memory, a shoebox of receipts, or nowhere at all. Buyers take a stranger's word for it. Owners lose track of their own maintenance. And the cars people genuinely love - the ones they'll never sell - don't have anywhere to keep that story either.

So the platform is split in two, deliberately.

The two halves answer different questions, and mixing them would make both worse.

AUDITED PASSPORT

Owners and mechanics submit completed work, a human auditor reviews it, and only then does it get sealed onto the vehicle's permanent passport. No self-reported badge, no quiet edits later.

THE BOND

Nothing to do with resale value. A low-friction place to log a wash, a wax, a Sunday spent under the bonnet, and watch the road you've traveled with that car take shape.

How a record becomes permanent

  1. Submitted

An owner, mechanic or workshop records what was done, with the invoice or photographs that back it up.

  2. Reviewed by a person

An auditor checks the submission against its evidence. They never audit their own work, and a review is not an inspection of the car.

  3. Sealed

Approved records are cryptographically signed onto the passport. They cannot be edited or removed afterwards - not by the owner, not by us. A mistake is corrected by a further record, never by rewriting the past.

Built for South African roads

We're building this with South African roads specifically in mind - blending community-reported vehicle data with what the international databases miss, and treating personal information with the care POPIA expects rather than as an afterthought. Everything runs on hardware we own, in South Africa: no cloud provider holds a copy of your vehicle's history.

WrenchVerse (Pty) Ltd is a small, independent company built from Centurion, Gauteng.
