owner No proof needed - your account works immediately.

mechanic A trade qualification, or a letter from the workshop you work at.

workshop Your CIPC registration number and the address you trade from.

parts_shop Your CIPC registration number and proof that you supply parts.

dealership Your CIPC registration and motor trade number.

fleet Your CIPC registration and roughly how many vehicles you run.

Anything other than a vehicle owner is reviewed before it takes effect. You can use the account as an owner in the meantime - a trade role only changes the weight your submissions carry on a vehicle's passport, which is exactly why it has to be proved.

That includes recording the device and approximate location a record is submitted from - clause 5 explains why, and clause 10 explains what happens to a sealed record if you later ask us to delete your information.
